Miss Co-Pilot!

So a little back tracking to the beginning of our trip before I get to all those beautiful bathing Bahama beauty pics (say that 10x really fast).

All of our excitement (Lily's) actually started a couple of weeks too early because mom and dad made a big mistake of saying the "GA" and "beach" word where her little ears could hear. She put 2-and-2 together and that's all it took for her to eat, breath, and sleep GA for at least two weeks. Camps kept her pretty occupied, but I promise you there wasn't one person there that didn't know that she was going to the beach and then to GA! The 4 days home in between took all we had to convince her that the air plane wasn't going to leave her and that it would pick us up on Thursday. I have no doubt that if she could read a map she would have started her trek walking the day we got home from camp.
Georgia or Bust! :)

We never put away our suitcases while we were home, just traded out the clothes. So one of the four days while we were home, she ran in the room where I was and said with such a proud voice, "Mom, come here! I want to show you someping." She took me into our bedroom where the suitcase was on the floor and said, "Seeeee, I packed!" The only thing in the suitcase was her beloved bumper! I guess you could call her a light packer! :) Then she proceeded to crawl into the suitcase, crouched down and told me to zip it up so she wouldn't miss the plane to GA!
I am so blessed to be a mom and have days full of moments like this! I am in love with this sweet thing! :)

Ok, so Thursday is finally here and we had to wake up before the roosters @ 3:30 to be able to catch our 6:00 flight out. I really didn't know how well and how happy Lily would be having to crawl out of bed that early. She tends to be a very slow waker upper! I thought, well maybe she'll get up a whole lot easier than she normally does from her naps if I tell her that the plane is picking us up to take us to GA.

I had time to get that one sentence out of my mouth and you would have thought I gave her a shot of Mountain Dew! I've never seen her act so fast! Let's just say her hair do matched her excitement!

We had a smooth sailing flight to Orlando where we met my parents so we could join them in dad's plane for the last leg of the flight over to the islands!
I'm sure if you asked Lily which plane is her favorite, hands down she would say her Papa's! It may be small and without drink service, but she gets to invade the cockpit!
To be honest Miss co-pilot made her Nonni and momma a little nervous up there knowing that her little arms and legs are never still and there are A LOT of button up there that could accidentally be pressed!
Papa ended up becoming "too cool for school" when he distracted her with his pilot window. He showed her how his window opened up to the outside. Then he showed her how she could stick her hand out the window and watch it as it got sucked backwards faster than you could blink!
I think Papa thought this would be a one time cool trick to show, but it turned out to be a "game" that she wanted to play all the way there! The good thing is that it did keep her little hands off all the controls!
The only thing I'm dreading now is when we fly back commercial and she ask the plane lady to open up her window like her papa does (so she can be entertained by her hand being sucked through the wind). Preparing for tears to fall when she tells her the windows don't open. :(
On a praise note, this prego lady made it a full 2 hours without having to use the bathroom. Remember, dad's plane is cool, but without drink service or bathrooms! For a prego lady that could get very interesting. I asked the Lord to seal off my bladder believing that He could and He did! :)
