Our Apartment View!

It seems that I've gotten good at posting only every few months...hey but you have to give it to me because when I post, I post! For the last few months we have declared our family theme song as, "On the Road AGAIN" with an extra verse including in the Sky AGAIN too! Wow! have these last few months been exciting, fun, busy, tiring, emotional, worshipful, and loaded with lots of change! We are just so thankful to say that we have now been settled in OK for 3 weeks and are so thankful that God called us here to be in ministry. Our church family here has already been such a blessing and have loved on us so greatly! We feel like we have known them forever! Even in my smallest selfish desires like wanting trees where we would end up living, God has answered from the biggest to smallest request! God has given us the most beautiful view on both sides. On the back side we have a walking park, literally just a few hundred feet from our door. Here is the view from the back!

Lily and I love our backyard walking trail!

Our Cozy Apartment!

Here is a glimpse into our cozy apartment that God so graciously picked out for us until we can find a home. I wasn't able to get a good picture of every room because my camera lense broke and wouldn't zoom out far enough, but for now here ya have it folks our humble abode!
Oh don't worry more pics to come as soon as the camera is fixed, don't you know I'm the paparazzi mom!
The entrance is on the right and you step right into the living room.

This is a picture of the living room taken from the opposite direction.

And this is our little dinning area!

2nd Week in OK celebrating 22 months!

June 7th, we celebrated 21 months with our beautiful daughter...what JOY she is! We spent the afternoon playing on the playground across the street. Miss Lily is weighing in at a whopping 23 pounds!
A day in the life of Lily @ 22 months!
  • Every morning we greet her by singing, but she greets us looking like "cousin IT" with a huge smile as she jumps up and down in her bed as if it was a trampoline!
  • The next few words out of her mouth are bow, bow! Yes, she's my girlie girl and is ready for a bow as soon as she gets up...I've trained her well! No, I really think she is just ready for her hair to be out of her face. The next words are "Mouse" and "o-meal" (oatmeal). We didn't have cable in WF and now that she has been introduced to it here in OK she has fallen in love with the Mickey Mouse show. Her other favorites are Sid the Science Kid, and Imagination Movers! Her favorite movies that we have are: Little Einstein Noah and Baby Praise. We could probably reenact them for ya if you want! :)
  • The middle of our day, never seems to look the same, but no matter what we are doing you can be guaranteed to be entertained by Miss Lily...she is so funny! She loves to say "listen" followed by talking crazy then waiting for you to laugh. Actually, just last week she made her way up on stage during VBS and danced for everyone during the music! She has also started making funny faces by stretching her mouth with her fingers. Oh, and does she sing!!! We laugh because we have tried to personalize her songs with her name in them, but now when she sings them, it sounds like she has a whole lot of self love for herself! She loves to show anybody that she knows how to jump. She is determined to say hey (loudly) to anyone she sees and if they don't respond she will just continue to repeat herself until they do! Her new thing is being kissed! She is constantly telling me she has boo boos and telling me to kiss them. It's amazing how many "boo boos" she can get at one time! I think she gets a kick out of me kissing her toes, so of course she gets "boo boos" on every toe multiple times in a matter of minutes! We love you our silly Lily!

Moving Day!

This post should actually be after the next one...opps! We got most of the truck packed up on Friday, May 28th! I didn't take many pictures, but of the most important moving crew...Gabbi, Lou, Lou (our adopted daughters that we took to church for 2 years) and Lily!
If you ever run out of things to do with your kids, just rent a u-haul...it's so entertaining, especially the loading ramp!

Surprise Going Away Party!

I am very rarely surprised, but I have to give it to my neighbor Emily, she pulled it off! A few nights before our OK move, we thought we were going to be spending a night with the Whitfield's eating pizza! To our surprise when she opened up the door, her house was filled with some of our dearest friends. We can't thank God enough for loving on us through such wonderful friendships! What a sweet and cherished night to be able to come together and fellowship one last time before we had to say our "see ya laters!" No goodbyes when you are related in Christ!

Beach Trip with the FAM!

My parents (AKA: Nonni & Papa) planned a beach trip for us to be able to spend some fun family time together before our big OK move. Of course we went to one of our families favorite...St. Augustine! Lily's first beach experience was in the Bahamas at 14 months, but this was around the time she first started walking and she cried every time her feet touched the sand. Sooo, we were really curious how this whole beach experience was going to go!? Well, lets just say, if Lily could talk in sentences, she would say..."I want to live at the beach and never leave!" Now that her feet are sturdy underneath her, she loves everything about it! She would run wide open doing doughnuts all over the beach, she loved digging in the sand, and got tickled when daddy and Papa would help her jump the waves. She ever got to experience a little bit of acrobatic bike ridding. We are already looking forward to our next family beach trip!

Stawberry Pickin & 21 Months!

The end of april we left for GA, because Michael's precious grandmother (Mama) passed away. We ended up spending about a month between the fams, so while we were there we got to do a lot of "firsts" with the grandparents.
To celebrate Lily's 21 months of life, granny and I decided to take her strawberry picking for the first time! Of couse the kiddos never have to be trained in eating the stawberries, but keeping them in the bucket! I felt like she was eating them as fast as I could pick'em! Here's our "Berry" cute strawberry girl all dressed for the part! We had a blast getting all hot and sweaty so we could enjoy the benefits of our labor over the next several days!
