Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter...He has Risen just as He said!

We have been teaching Lily the song...Alive, alive, alive forever more, my Jesus is alive, alive forevermore! She now walks around saying, "awive" a gazillion times a day, but I love it! It's such a sweet reminder that because HE IS alive, we also can have life in Him! Isn't it awesome to watch all of creation point to Him as everything is bursting forth with life after a barren time! Think about it, only the Savior can make a tree overjoyed enough to pop flowers out of sticks! :)

On Thursday we headed to Joyner Park for an early Easter Lily photo shoot! This has become our all time favorite park! It has been designed around some old family farm land...just beautiful with original barns, pecan orchard, stone walls, 3 mile walking trail, and lots and lots of open land to run around in. Now that the weather is warming up, Lily and I spend all of our mommy/daughter dates here. We have already made so many fun memories, these are just a few:

As soon as Lily spots the park from the car, she immediately begins pointing and screaming PEE-PIE! She has formed a special bond with the middle barn...this barn has a ramp and windows! She loves running with all her energy up the ramp and into the barn and then just waits for me to pop my head through the window and yell PEE-PIE! You know that song that never ends, we'll this has become the never ending game, put her pure joy keeps me pee-pieing!

Okay, this is a funny one! There are always tons of dogs out at Joyner Park, or better know as "Leroy's" in Lily's book! Okay, I'll explain. Wild, but true...both my parents and Michael's parents both have a dog named Leroy! Therefore a dog with the name Leroy is all that Lily has known, so of course in her mind All dogs are Leroy's! Oh My, if you only knew how much this little girl loves puppy dogs. She can spot them from a mile away and will immediately begin to do a backwards wave with her little hands as she yells from the top of her lungs, "mir leroy, mir!" The other day as Lily and I were swinging in the bench swing, a huge Great Dane was walking up. Of course as soon as she spotted it she started pointing and saying, "Leroy", but as it got closer and she could see how truly big this "Leroy" was, she looked up at me and said, "no...Horsey...Horsey!"

I am so thankful Lily decided to stop and smell the flowers on this day. It helped tremendously as I was snapping away! She actually got so engrossed with the little purple flowers that she wouldn't even look up even as we called her name a thousand times. Enjoy the thousand and one pictures I have posted...a mom that could decide which ones she liked best and decided, hey just post them ALL! :)
