HAPPY 4th!

We went to our friends Lauren & Johnathan's for a pre-cookout celebration sice WF does their firework display the night of the 3rd. We had such a great night of fellowship with everyone, but missed daddy. It ended up being just us girls since he had an 18 page paper due that night at midnight. How he cranks them out like he does is beyond me, but we are soo proud of him. He actually just found out that all his hard work got him a woppin' 96! I know even more importantly than the grade he was blessed to learn about the life of William Carey, the father of modern missions.

Here is our little Miss patriotic showing off her 4 fingers for the fourth! We are truly blessed to live in a country that gives us the freedom to worship our Lord and Savior. We are especially grateful for God's Son Jesus and the blood He shed so that we could ultimately be set free from the bondage of our sin. This fourth was a great reminder to remember to pray for those who are serving our country and those who are in leadership. May Christ be worshiped alone!

Saving a little mac-n-cheese for later!
Hey Ella, your mommy makes you wear those things too!? My mommy has a saying, "Always have a bow bow on the go go!"

Lily loved hanging with all the "big girls!"
Waiting...
Waiting...Waiting...

GONER! Poor thing, she tried so hard to stay up but bedtime called before the fireworks!

Blueberry Pickin!

We absolutely love all the little blessings of summer, especially all the scrumptious fresh veggies and fruits. Last Monday Lily and I went with our friend Kristen out to Vollmer's Farm to pick blueberries. This is the fist fruit that I have found that Lily is not a big fan of...that is ONLY eating them! I think Lily would say that just because you don't like them, doesn't mean you can't have fun rolling them around in your fingers and squishing them!!! Didn't capture this on camera b/c I was too busy cleaning up the "fun" mess and Miss Mess maker! Go out and pick yourself some organic blueberries...their delish!!!

Lily personally liked the tall grass in between the blueberry rows, it made for a great "salad!"

Just look at her! Couldn't you just stick her on top of a blueberry muffin and just eat her up!

Taking a break to taste test!
For those of you who know me know that I'm a big fan of butterflies. This guy landed on one of our blueberry bushes. I'm always reminder of 2 Corinthians 5:17 "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has pasted away and behold the new has come."

Mischief and More!

Can you guess WHO might be behind refrigerator door #1!?

Miss Lily Lew, that's who!!! Crawling calls for a lot of mischief these days, but it's so much fun to watch her explore and make new discoveries.
Pictured with Lily are her two best fridge buds! I think she could talk to the milk and OJ all day long!

The next day before we headed to the Y pool. She was reminding me that we needed to pack lots of water!

The dishwasher became a Lily "stage" for the first time the other night while I was on the phone talking to my mom. Don't you just love how they always go for the safest utensils!
